Easy Cheesy Potato Casserole
This cheesy potato casserole recipe is basic in nature and can easily be followed. I usually recommend this easy cheesy potato casserole recipe for people who are just learning how to make cheesy potato casseroles as it is very easy to follow and also, it doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare it.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds of frozen hash brown potatoes
- 4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup of butter
- ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 4 cups of sour cream
- 4 cups of corn flakes
- 10 ¾ ounce can of cream of chicken soup
Preparation
- Defrost the hash browns, melt the butter and crush the corn flakes.
- Pour sour cream, salt, ground black pepper, shredded cheese and cream of chicken soup into a large sauce pan and stir until an even consistency is achieved.
- Add the defrosted hash browns.
- Spray the casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray and pour in the mixture from 2 and 3 above.
- Mix the butter and the corn flakes and sprinkle over the mixture in the casserole dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Bring the cheese potato casserole out of the oven and leave for about 10 minutes before serving.
